About Us
Rondel Village is a family owned resort located on Negril’s famous 7 mile beach. We opened our doors to visitors in December 1985. We started out with only 3 unique octagonal shaped deluxe villas on the beachside of the property. In 1988 the additional 5 beach villas were built. Eight garden rooms were added on the landside in 1993. We did major renovations in 2000 in keeping with our aim to offer a superb product to our guests. We have 28 team members whose objective is to pamper the guests by offering personalized service. This has resulted in a high rate of repeat visitors.
In July 1999, we gained Green Globe Certification by instituting an Environmental Management System, the aim of which is to protect and enhance the environment for present and future generations. Management and team members are committed to securing the long-term sustainability of the environment and tourism. In order to achieve this, we have also involved our guests, who help us to reduce, reuse & recycle. We aim to save energy and water, minimize our use of chemicals, generate less solid waste and air emissions. We have received several awards, both locally & internationally, for our efforts. We continue to keep the environment ’Green’.
In November 2002, we completed a major expansion and refurbishing project on the beachside of the property. The resort now offers a total of 40 rooms including beach villas and rooms. The new rooms are located atop the villas, which were completely refurbished.
At the end of 2004, we did an extensive refurbishing of the entire property which included the addition of an Internet Cafe and enclosure of the lobby. The air conditioned lobby now offers cool and comfortable check in and check out. Our renovations are in keeping with our aim to offer a superb product to our guests. In 2005 we added a roof to the open air terrace and now have a very attractive covered restaurant seating up to 50 people. This is perfect for all type of meals, wedding receptions, group dining etc.
Last year we upgraded the air conditioners in the 1 bedroom villas to split units. We also changed the laminate flooring in the 2 & 3 bedroom villas to wooden floors. Villas were supplied with a DVD player and all villas and rooms now have a CD player. We upgraded our water quality by installing a water softener on the beach side and this year we plan to do the same on the landside. We refurbished the pool on the landside to include benches in the pool. As well we completed a 4 colour wedding brochure to publicize our personalized wedding packages.
